I used to love the little white chocolate mice that my mum bought me on the way home from work. They had some kind of pink fondant stuff in the middle which they don't seem to do any more.

All my friends were mad on these rainbow coloured sweets that you had to spit the pips out of the middle for some reason. It always looked like it had snowed multi-coloured snow all year round at our school. I never really understood the appeal.

Other favourites were cola cubes, strawberry laces, those little white chocolate buttons with hundreds and thousands on (which I always called thousand island), fake cigarettes and the sherbet dib dabs with a red lolly in.

I still love butterscotch, and sour apples. They were the best back then too. I grew up in the caribbean and I use to also love tamarind balls which is a tropical fruit mixed with sugar.

Mmmhmm. I used to loooove lemon heads- especially the jumbo size ones that barely fit in your mouth. They started out sour and gradually became so sweet. Mmmm, makes my mouth water!

My favourite was (and still is) the coffee creams out of the roses. Bastards stopped doing them years ago so now I'm forced to get sub-standard coffee creams from thorntons. They're not even runny inside!

nyssa - The proper cherry lips, the hard ones that tasted of soap and perfume
Kath - coffee candy twists, on winter mornings walking to school
brad - opal fruits, they changed the name and ruined the taste!
