Depends on the kind of beer and the size - this is how much we charge at my bar......

1/2 barrel of bud retails for about 85.00
pony keg of Bud for about 53.00

The cheapest would be Pabst Blue Ribbon and that would be about 40 dollars for 1/2 barrel

1/2 Barrel - Prices start at $43.99 domestic and range to $160.00 Import and Micro . This is the size of a "normal" keg. It contains 15.5 gallons of beer which works out to almost 7 cases (24 12oz beers).

1/4 Barrel- Prices range $44.99 to $99.99 This is what is commonly called a "pony keg". It contains 7.25 gallons of beer, which works out to almost 3 1/2 cases.

1/6 Barrel - Prices range $44.99 to 69.99 It contains 5.1 gallons of beer, which is roughly 2 cases and a six pack.

Then of course there is.....

Tap Deposits $50.00 (This is the MOST important part (and the most expensive part of the set up for the retailer)....so you could pay as much as 100.00 deposit for this)
Tub Deposit $15.00
Keg Deposits $25.00, $12.00, or $15.00 depending on brand ordered.

I think it is like a $50 deposit just for the keg. Then I'm sure our buddy said he paid $200.

I suggest you call your local package store. Price varies on type of beer, where you're located... and you'll have to leave a deposit.
Don't forget the tap!
Hope you're of legal age
