When I copy and paste a list of numbers (from website) into excel, they all contain a space (" ") at the end and so are not recognised as numbers. What can I do to get rid of space? P.S. the numbers are of different lengths so left does not work. Neither does 'replace'.

Have you tried the Trim() function?
Maybe even CInt(Trim("18 "))?

=value(some cell)
where some cell is a cell that has a number stored as text with spaces. The result will be a number.

Select the cells, Copy, then choose File > Paste Special. Select the 'Add' option and your text will become numbers.

open excel select the cell you want to change right click > format cells >click on number then change it from general to number> hope this helps

you cn hilight the column and then go to format cells then slect numbers ( you may want to take off the decimals)

i think u need to specify if u want numerals in that box or text or prices etc.
