How do you do this in niquab or Hijab...even better, a burka? I mean you no disrespect, I'm just curious.

Look at the National Geographic article below to see a Muslim bathing suit that completely covers the body. It is similar to a scuba wetsuit. I believe that Muslim women can swim in a swimming pool only with other women.

Muslim women who wanted to get a suntan could probably go to a tanning salon. I wonder what they do for vitamin D?

The answer is as diverse as asking what is the favorite food of white people.

When I lived in Bangladesh, which is 88% Muslim, I saw a few women swimming at the beach, fully dressed. (The beaches were lousy and generally unpopular, but sometimes people did swim.) At the school where my kids went, they had "women's" times at the pool, where the women wore swimsuits, even bikinis, but there were no men there during those times. Other women wouldn't be caught dead in a swimsuit or even in wet clothes. It varies from society to society, and from woman to woman.

In Australia I saw a family of Muslims in the water in a lagoon. Men in trunks - women in burkhas.

Nothing further to say. Except they apparently don't sunbathe.

only in a place where only women, or a swimming pool at home with their husband of which no one can sees them except their spouse.
however, on beaches, there are women who enjoy the beach while wearing Hijab and cover their bodies by setting on the beach. i don't understand the woman swimming suite? whoever design the woman swimming suite is a perve, why do we have to be 90% naked so we can enjoy the water?

appearing in a swim suit would mean stoning by the men on the beach. We had foreign exchange students who could wear bikinis hear but told us they would be severly punished or even put to death for appearing in public in a swim suit. but then there isn't much thats fair to women who live under such oppression.

Yes. Hijab can get wet. Muslim women can swim in outfits that cover the body and get as much sun as any other woman.

I think they swim dressed up. They are not suppose to show their skin to anyone, but their husbands. What a pity..

They don't sunbathe (I guess), but they swim in a pool only for women.
