Yes. It seems religion makes some people better. I respect that. I used to dislike Muslims, but I see they are a mixed bag like any other religion, and I am becoming more open minded. I am also more curious about people and what makes them ultimately tick. I'm thinking about changing my major to sociology or history.

That's a difficult question. In some ways, yes. I've been able to acknowledge things within myself that I need to change, and have begun working on. My questions may seem judgmental, and I get plenty of hate mail telling me so, but in truth I use my questions and the answers received as a way to learn and to grow. I would not ask a question of anyone unless it was something that applies to my own life.
I've definitely gained a broader view of everyone's religions, and I can honestly say that I now understand how people can have faith. That was also my unexpected learning experience.
I have found that I've become more cynical, at times judgmental, and I sometimes go on the attack. I don't know if that's because I'm here, or if it's simply human nature. I'm still examining that.
I'm thrilled to see you today. I was wondering where you had been.

Yes. For example....
I thought that Islam was a terrorist religion hell bent on enforcing they're own value across the globe, no matter how many people they killed.
I was wrong...
I actually found out that Islam is about salvation, much like Christianity, but how they are instructed to react with the world is different.
For example, there's a Christian and a Muslim being attacked by the same guy. The Christian would defend himself with the least amount force possible, hoping the guy would see reason. The Muslim is allowed to kill only if he's an armed invader. Christians have no laws that permit war, where as the Muslims have a very strict rules about conflict.
Well, I won't go into it, but you see my point.

I have learned a lot here on this forum. And yes, I can say I am more tolerant and compassionate from this experience. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and especially about other people and how their minds work. I love animals more too. Also borg pets.

it is a tricky question. In some concepts, definite. i have been in a position to well known issues interior of myself that i opt to modify, and function started engaged on. My questions might want to seem judgmental, and that i'm getting a number of of hate mail telling me so, yet in truth i take advantage of my questions and the solutions received in order to study and to augment. i does no longer ask a question of all of us until eventually it replaced into something that applies to my personal life. i have certainly received a broader view of anybody's religions, and that i visit truly say that I now comprehend how human beings can believe. That replaced into also my unpredicted learning journey. I somewhat have discovered that i have change into extra cynical, at situations judgmental, and that i now and again flow on the attack. i do not comprehend if it is because i'm right here, or if this is in basic terms human nature. i'm nevertheless studying that. i'm delighted to work out you as we talk. i replaced into questioning the position you've been.

Hey Borgs!
I hope us humans are not being to bad of examples!
It is trying doing this, because you see so much mis-information against your own faith and also a lot of mis-information for others faiths.
So, as far as better, I hope so, it takes a great amount of patients and self-control not to get mad and "Go off" here.
I succeed most of the time, I apologize for the times I start to lose control to all.
Peace, and have a double milk bone for me!

No. I have found most people here abusive and rude, and have been mocked by asking perfectly valid questions, to which they have no answer or too which they don't "want" too think about, but feel the massive pathological urge - to make some sort of loud noise.
See my profile for many examples of this.
If these are gods spokes-people - what on earth is god like?

Well...
Knowledge of truths...yes. Several times...
Broader view of other religions... most definitely. Especially with the more exemplary members of other faiths.
Unexpected learnings...rarely happens.
Overall... slightly better...
