Why are we now getting an Attachment icon to the left of every message received in Outlook Express?

Why are we now getting an Attachment icon to the left of every message received in Outlook Express?

The icon means "This message has one or more files attached". There are actual attachments on only one or two of these messages. How do I keep these icons away from messages on which they don't belong?

It is an update in the service.. thats Microsoft for you.
