Religious people really are? I mean I admit that I used to be the same way when I was younger but seriously? they really don't pay attention to reality at all. They refuse to try to learn new things and completely ignore any historical facts that are out there...it really scares me because its not the Athiests who have spent history killing millions and millions of people...Im tired of thier excuses...about the devil..and free will...and all that other nonsense..Is it really that hard to wake up? I mean at one point of thier lives they all probably believed in Santa...so whats so hard about using common sense and realizing that God and Jesus are just stories..no different then Zeus or Thor...and Christians Can't even prove they didn't exist...

I think it's sad that they have such a need to hang on to their beliefs. I find it scary that they are threatening to take even more control of the US government than they already have. Sometimes it seems that they are scared to educate themselves. I read their books...why won't they read mine? I don't know of any strong theist who has read The End of Faith by Sam Harris or The Demon-Haunted World by Carl Sagan. I hope that they exist; I just haven't met any.

Well, Athiests do kill people and have been some of the biggest mass murderers in history, but yes, religious zealots can be a touch naive and blinkered. However, as in nearly every walk of life it's the minority with extreme views that get the headlines and paint a poor picture of whatever they are supposed to be representing. I'm a practising Athiest (sic) but do have time for people with strong spiritual beliefs, no matter what their religion. It's hypocrasy that annoys me most.

The Privilege Corrupted Romans 1:18-23
A person cannot deny the Lord and still live successfully. Mankind was created to acknowledge God and share a relationship with Him. When someone chooses to ignore the truth of His existence or His sovereignty, he or she begins a downward slide.. It’s a choice which ends with a hardened heart and eternal separation from a loving Father.
God gives everyone the capacity to understand Him and the free will to choose whether to pursue that knowledge. The truth of His existence is revealed in nature and written into every person’s conscience. However, many people ignore reality because it interferes with their preferred lifestyle. Instead, they chase false philosophies, which are usually mixed with just enough truth to make them believable to the inexperienced.
Any “truth” crafted by man is foolishness. A mind that has rejected the fact of a sovereign Lord cannot see its error. It has slipped from intelligence—an inherent knowledge of God — to willful ignorance. In this state, even when all evidence points to the truth, a person can still convince him- or herself that the opposite is right.
All the denial and atheistic arguments in the world will not change what is real. Jehovah is God. Jesus Christ is His Son. God created you to love, obey, and honor Him. If you resist the truth, you choose a life of darkness and willful ignorance. The choice is yours to make.
God invites you to see if He is better than all that the world has to offer. Psalm 34:8 challenges us to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”

First off, I know it's frustrating when you don't understand why people believe the things they do. But as a human beings, we need to be more tolerant of people who are clung to untruths. They get just as frustrated when they can't convince you to believe in their dogma. You can't change each other so leave each other alone. You can still have friends of different backgrounds. Just respect each other enough to realize you will not change them. Throwing insults is disrespectful too. I am not religious, nor atheist, agnostic, new ager, etc. I don't label myself in any catagory. I don't believe in any deities but I do believe in the human spirit. I rely on no one but myself. Don't concern yourself with people buying into the insanities of religion. It'll take a long time but people will eventually let go of them but it will not be in our time here. Just be content in knowing what you know and keep looking for the truth where ever you find it.

first of all its not religions that kill, its the stupid ppl that try to use religion to kill. just like guns don't kill , its the stupid ppl that uses the guns to kill.

as far as proving God exists, u can know it in your heart when God proves it to u that He exists. He is very real.

one day u will find out and i pray it won't be too late for u.

the devil is very real too and He believes in God and by u saying all those things, u are on his team, which has a really sad ending.

find it in your heart to let Jesus in and u will see soon enough that He is real, He heals , He will talk to u , u just have to listen and have faith.

im sure u feel an emptiness, that only Jesus can fill, so quit blaming religions , u don't even have to go to church or be any religion if u don't want to, just as Jesus into your heart and watch your life change and your heart heal

I could not agree with you more....I am a science major and the more I learn the less I believe in any organized religion...it's scary to alot of people to want to admit that there could be no god...so i don't blame them for acting out..but ur right...Athiests don't kill people...religious people of one sort or another do.

Religion is a powerful mind trip, especially when you have been indoctrinated since childhood. I don't care what they believe, I just wish they would keep it at home or in their churches where it belongs. Just be glad you are not among the sad flock of sheep that need a crutch to deal with life in all it's horror and beauty.

I'm religious, I havent killed anyone, nor do I wish to. You freedom to not believe in God is just the same as My Freedom to believe.
So while you can back up your belif with what you feel is concrete evidence, in my eyes My life, everything that I have is Proof that God exist and that he loves me.

Personally I don't need your approval to believe, just as you don't need my approval to not believe. I don't condone forcing my beliefs ons anyone, or belitting them for have a different mind set.

God Bless
