Yes, take your kitty to the vet ASAP because they can die quickly from dehydration when they have the runs. Diareah cannot usually be treated with otc rememdies and it doesn't usually go away.
Have you changed kitties food a lot? Their tummies are very sensitive and you can't change their food around a lot. You have to give them one food and stick with it, and don't give them milk ever.
There is a chance that it could be a disease or even worms too, so please take the kitty to the vet.

You really must consult a vet about this problem. If you have noticed that the cat has lost weight and constantly has loose stools you have waited too long already.

There is something serious going on with the cat and he needs your help. Only a vet can do a proper diagnosis about what is wrong and what you might do to correct it.

When your cat is loosing weight and having the runs inexplicably, then you need a professional to look him over. Take your kitty to the vet like what everyine here has said. That is the best advice you'd get.

Chronic diahreah in any animal can be fatal! Get him to the Vet ASAP, could be a simple case of worms, but also could be making it a lot worse by not getting him in!

I would definetly take a sample of the feces. and go to the vet to make sure first that your cat doesn't have any parasites. and depending on the age of the cat. it may need to be tested for diabetes. or food with higher nutrients.
