Dont know any personally but have you tried reed.co.uk or totalretail.com or try applying to the likes or argos, homebase, marks and spencers, retail companys taking on for xmas period, there also taking on in the postal services.

It is really difficult to find work in London at the moment - we have a high unemployment rate so if you do come over make sure you have lots of money saved up in case you can not find work straight away. There are lots of colleges that have English classes I would suggest you google it. Make sure it is a genuine college though. Sorry can't be much help.. good luck!

if its a small job your looking for like shop work or something, i would suggest to go around in nw area, and go and ask in the shops personally, it makes a better impression anyway and your more likely to get one sooner rather than later that way. Thats how i got my second job!!

I'm in NW London. There's plenty of jobs about. try employment agencies (there's enough of them!) Local paper has a large recruitment section!
