There is no real mystery. It's true that ships and planes occasionally disappear in the Bermuda Triangle, which is defined by Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Miami. However, this is an extremely busy section of the ocean, and the number of disappearances is not out of propotion to the number of vessels that pass through the region.

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a geographical area in the Atlantic Ocean approximately triangular in shape and is famous for its supposed paranormal activities. The Bermuda Triangle's three corners are roughly defined by Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, giving it an area of nearly half a million square miles (1.2 million km²).

Paranormal Claims:
* "A significant number of ships and aircraft have disappeared under highly unusual circumstances."
* "Paranormal activity where the known laws of physics are violated."
* It has even been suggested that "extraterrestrial beings are responsible for some of the disappearances."

I believe in it just cuz I believe anything is possible & I've seen some weird stuff. I don't know why ships, etc, dissappear, I've heard there are very strong magnetic fields below the ocean that can cause all kinds of nonsense. It can effect navigational tools and the time/space continuum, supposedly. Sorry if I misspelled 'continuum', spell-check didn't recognize it, but I hope you know the word that I mean!

I saw a show on the Discovery Channel where they hypothesized that methane gas pockets could be responsible. A large methane bubble can capsize a ship and, when released into the atmosphere, can shut down an airplane engine.

as of the popular belief, ships and air crafts disappear when they cross over that region. scientists say that that there is a strong magnetic field which is the reason of the disappearance....but there is no eye-witness to support the reason. well, maybe in the future this puzzle is solved.....

Ever hear of hurricane season? Yeah, they didn't know about those back then (No modern radar), or that they were sailing/flying directly into them. By the time they figured out this wasn't your normal storm, it was far too late!
