It's simple. america is a white country, culturally speaking. Black also represent American culture but it's a very narrow view when you look at it from the non-black perspective. Media also controls our individual and collective minds more than anyone would probably want to admit. Despite the power of hip hop culture, the white man's image rules movies, tv, books... pretty much all media. And yes maybe they are more attractive or are just percieved to be better looking than men of color... that's subjective. With all that said, asian women are really the only minority group that has been fully accepedt as 'peers' to the whites in america. For whatever reason, white men are attracted to asian women more than any other minority group. Similarly white women accept asian women into their circle more than any other. Asian women are fashionable in a similar style with white women (unlike many black and latino women who have a very different style whites can't relate to. also asia tends to get all the latest designs b4 they go to america). All minorities are trying to become more american and succeed in this country both professionally and socially. Why the heck wouldn't asian women "try to be more american" (in a very broad sense). And mommyof4 - Asians are not considered caucasian - if you'll notice on any demographic form you fill out, Asian is one of the options. "White" is kind of bad form in this question - a better way for him to have asked it would have been "what percent of Asian women marry Caucasian men."
