I recently shipped a new laptop to hubby working in Afghanistan. Guess what? The USPS lost it...or perhaps one of the fine workers got himself/herself a new laptop.
Now being told I have to wait 45 days from shipping date to file lost. To whomever took this, I hope you really enjoy yourself while he is over there protecting your freedom! And yes....I did insure it but our fine government will take up to a year to get my money back to me. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry for your missing laptop. I would have suggested international delivery confirmation if I had been asked. And how do you know it wasn't lost by Afghan Post or one of the other subcontractors involved? Have you considered using the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the USPS.com homepage? I'm sure that if it had been sent with an authentic USPS Letter Carrier the whole way it would have made it. I know we have sent several facility managers from here in New Jersey to try and fix that mess over there.

Hi: I would contact USPS with your certified reciept number to see if it was actually delivered. It could be a delay or the folks may have refused to sign for it. If it's the USPS fault, demand a refund.
