Any fashion that has been in a top show for designers and buyers. The model walks the catwalk (the long stage strutting her stuff) and models clothes for the designer so that buyers (like Macys, Bloomingdales etc) pick them up for their stores.

It means the kind of clothes which only fit unrealistically skinny models and which would be completely impractical for ordinary everyday life. Trendy, flamboyant, expensive -- and not the sort of thing anyone I know seems to buy!
