I had mine out about 10 years ago. Mostly I had this in the morning and sometimes when I ate greasy foods. It seems to have gotten better as time goes by. Still that beats having a gallstone attack anyday......

Oh yes sweetie..You see your gallbladder works as a filter for the food and things that we put in our bodies..and after it is removed it doesn't take the food that long to be processed through out the body so..when you eat try to stay away from the greasy foods but it will likely happen(the dumping) until your body gets use to the gallbladder being gone..I wish you the best because I know that whole gallbladder thing all to well..

Greasy foods are certainly more likely to affect you that way. I have dumping syndrome, or short bowel syndrome, because I had to have part of my colon removed. I have to race to the bathroom iimmediately after every meal. Sometimes I can wait for almost an hour, but I definitely can count on having diarrhea after each meal. Not a pleasant way to live. But there are some medications out there that can help you. contact your doctor, and try to eat more fiber or take a fiber pill. It may make you have more BMs, but they should be more formed in character. Good luck.

I had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago. For the first 6 months I had this every time I ate greasy foods. Now it doesn't happen as often. Maybe once a month.

I had my gallbladder taken out 5 years ago the Dr. told me that my pancreas & liver would take over doing what my gallbladdar did (which is store that fat out of my food until my body needed it) but that hasn't happened yet, at first it was pretty much everything I ate it's not as bad now 5 years later but for about 4 years I couldn't even enjoy eating out at a resteraunt, I would end up in the bathroom for 15 minutes, but I know other people that it doesn't affect at all like that but I know quite a few who it does including me, yes it sucks, but it's something you gotta live w/ unless you want to continure having gallbladdar attacks which I didn't. I had 3 in one month & they feel like your having a heart attack for about 1 hour, not fun!
