That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. There are no calories and no fat in water so how is it gonna make you fat? You might gain some water weight when you drink it but that will be gone once you pee or sweat. And even if you drank alot of water you still would not get much heavier. Whoever told you that was just messing with you.

That's not true. Drink all the water you want at whatever temp. you like it. Water flushes the system and actually aids in weight loss, even with ice in it. Some people believe, and I suppose there's some science to support it, that lukewarm or room temperature water aids in digestion better than cold, but cold water won't hurt you at all! I've never seen any science to support that claim, but the rumor is out there.

SWIMMING in it brings a small layer of fat to the surface to protect you, which may result in looking more smooth and less defined/cut than somebody who, say, runs for exercise.
But the calories are still burned, it's still great exercise, and it won't pack on pounds--just distributes the fat a little different.

NO! It's the five cheesebugers and the supersized fries before the cold water.

It actually raises your metabolism because your body has to work to counter-act the coldness, raising your body temp, in turn raising your metabolism. I think maybe people are jealous of you & don't want you to lose weight! Water is good for you, anyways!

Huh?! Never heard that one before! Water is calorie free. It can't make you fat whether cold or hot. It can make your bladder full but that's easily remedied!! ; )
