I think robots should keep well away from water. I should warn you that I'm armed with a water pistol and it's pointed straight at your reproductive circuit.

No, no, no!!! Do not throw objects at the cat nor take a water hose to him. That will just scare your cat into climbing even higher. Just call to him and entice him to come down on his own by bringing out his favorite cat food. If he seems stuck on a branch he is too leery to jump off from or if he couldn't quite figure how to scoot down the trunk butt first, then get table he could jump on (shortening the distance he has to jump). Course, I don;t know exactly what the situaion is, but I have always been able to call my kitties down from a tree.

Yes, by all means, get the hose out, and then beat yourself about the head with it until you lose consciousness. After the cat sees that its moron owner isn't a threat anymore, it will come down out of the tree. Tip: check your shoes for the next few weeks for any "thank you" gifts from your grateful pet.

I think that Tetchy Old Git has the right idea -
A CATapult! (I don't know why, but I think that's hilarious! Maybe I need more sleep... )
At any rate, I'd shoot some catnip up there via the CATapult. Wait for him to get stoned, and then he'll simply fall out of the tree.

not surprised he doesnt want to come to you if ur throwin stones at him, try leavin some tuna at the bottom of the tree over night and when its quiet with no moron standin there throwin at him he just might come down. if u treat him like that, he would be better movin house anyway. i see ur question has rooted out the cat haters who think its clever to suggest cruelty,is that why u asked it? someone needs to get that cat away from u.

Leave it alone, it will come down on its own when you stop throwing things at it. You ever seen cat bones in a tree??

Maybe you killed it by throwing stones up there? That may be one mayor reason of it not coming down. Throw a dog up, maybe that may help, if its not dead. The dog and the cat shouldnt be dead.

I'd be up a tree too if I had an owner like you. Apologize to him and beg his forgiveness for throwing rocks. Otherwise Leave the poor pus sy alone. He'll come down when he's good and ready.

Cats don't get stuck up trees unless they are really scared....why don't you just go all the way and launch a missile at him!! that would bring him down...NOT! contrary to popular belief ..don't call the fire service...they get really 'pissed' at that one.
