Don't try to diagnose yourself. The symptoms you describe could be ADD or anxiety or mania or hyperactive thyroid or a sign that you are in the wrong kind of job....See your doctor and ask for a psychiatric evaluation after all physical possibilities have been tested for.

well, you could, but why? As a schoolteacher i've been concerned with the rise of ADD as an explanation for educational failure. Kid who can't sit still in a class of 30? The problem is ADD and the answer is Ritalin. Now as a teacher the first course should be Lower class size, but because no government wants to reduce classs size we (chemically) jam the square block into the round hole. I wouldnt' advise Ritalin for you ;-)
on a lighter note I'd say its more friday afternoon jitters - here comes the weekend and all that - if so my best answer is to go out thursday night - the hangover will slow you down on the friday! (although then Thursday afternoon is the problem :-/

haha well yea Friday's can do that do ya! But yes, it's def. common these days to be diagnosed in your 20's...30's...40's...on and on...many people live with ADD their whole lives and just assume they're hyper people, sometimes the ADD is just so mild that there's not that big of a notice for people with certain personality traits. But, if it's cause you problems, personally, or if a loved one suggests you go see someone, def go get it checked out. There are tons of treatsments, such as low dose medications with minimal side effects that will help out big time. Good luck to you!

ADD is a diagnosis made up in the last 15 years so that you can use health insurance to pay for drugs made to treat the symptoms. Before ADD was a medical diagnosis, people used spanking, time-out, and other punishments to correct hyper activity. If those non-drug treatments of the past don't appeal to you, and your not willing to get a prescription for expensive pills, then you might take a look at diet. Caffine is usually to blame for most symptoms of ADD. I had a mother tell me her son had ADD after I commented on his behavior (tearing around a room non-stop). After she told me all her woes in dealing with ADD, she handed the kid a 20 oz. bottle of Mountain Dew!

Adults can be diagnosed with ADD. Most adults that are ADD are never diagnosed. They just feel that they have shorter attention spans and more energy than most. If this becomes a problem you may want to see your Dr.

At any age. When they determine its ADD they'll put you on Ritalin or Aderall which makes you focus, but all my friends that have been on it aren't fans so I recommend steering clear of perscription medicine to correct this problem. Just hope its due to Friday the 13th.

The truth is most people in their twenties don't drink as much milk as they should and this lowers their calcium levels and then they are more prone to these types of feelings. Try drinking one more glass of milk or have a hunk of cheese for a snack.
