If you cook for yourself, can you give me a good, healthy recipe that I can prepare in under one hour? I enjoy all types of food, but it has to be low fat and not too high in salt. Thanks.

Having been a single gal for a while I can give you some tips. I liked to buy the frozen boneless, skinless chicken breast. It's so easy to throw one on the george foreman grill (a must have for single people lol). Get some good seasonings for variety so it doesn't taste the same each time. If you like broccoli get some frozen "spears. Throw some on the grill once your chicken is done. After heating top it with cheese and turn the grill off. Let it sit there to melt the cheese. You can also cook up a hamburger on it or salmon (great to me!) on the grill.

Another favorite for me was veggie (hamburger soup). Toss in whatever veggies you like (canned/frozen), add some beef boillion and toss in some browned hamburger meat (I browned it w/onions). Also, you can't go wrong with chili. Pita pockets are great. Stuff em w/whatever you like.

I did eat out some, too for variety.

Tip for cleaning the grill: when done using it take a couple of wet paper towels and fold them and lay them on it, close it and unplug. Let the steam loosen anything on it. Then wipe clean. I then used a spray bottle w/vinegar and water in it, sprayed and wiped it again. It cleans up pretty easy.

I some times eat out, but not often. I cook using recipes, and some times even buy frozen things. Here's a recipe worth your time, Sam (and it only takes 1 hour and 10 minutes+.)-

Morocco Chicken Bake:

3 boneless chicken breasts
32 ounces garbanzo beans
1 red bell pepper, chopped
7 Tbs chicken broth
1/3 cup gold raisins
2 Tbs tomato paste
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsps cumin
28 ounces whole tomatoes
3 tablespoons Peanut Butter
hot cooked rice (any color)

Preheat oven to 350 f. IN a large oven proof dish, combine chicken breasts, beans, bell pepper, onion, raisins, broth, paste, garlic and cumin. Bake 1 hour. remove from oven; combine the tomatoes and the peanut butter; add to the chicken mixture. Bake an additional 10 mi nutes. Serve hot over the rice. Serves 4.

Yeah, I find that Cooking is not as hard as we sometimes want to think it is. The best way to cook, is to blast some music, so you dont nitocie how long it is taking, and to do the dishes as soon as your finished with a utensil WHILE you are cooking, in the end you should have a finished meal, minimal dishes and a great attitude about your accomplishment. Now sit back watch the game and eat your meal!!!

I find that sliced steak tips are easiest to broil on the stove top, as well as boneless chicken , and anything that is pasta or rice related (Jambalya prolly spelled it wrong) goes well with both.

Women are easily entertained by a cooking man, it is almost like a oxymoron to them!!!

When I go to work in the morning, I often will put a roast in a crock pot, add a few peeled and cubed potatoes and carrots, slice up a chunk of onion, and add just a little water. Then, I turn it on low. When I get home, dinner's ready! (works good with chicken, too). Only takes about 10 to 15 minutes total time.

www.reimanpub.com

They publish a few very good cooking magazines. Taste of Home, Cooking for Two, Simple and Delicious, Light and Tasty.

I find the recipes good, simple, with ingredients you might have on hand.

Good Luck

chop up raw chicken
cook until done in skillet with a little EVO
add small can of crushed tomatoes
add two cloves of fresh garlic crushed (if you don't have it fresh use a little garlic powder, to taste)
a hefty pinch of basil if dry
four of five leaves if fresh
toss all ingredients together to mix well
Saute until the garlic is cooked, soft

Add this mix to fresh cooked pasta, rigatoni works best, penne works well too.
Serve.

When I was single, I went on the "Pro Leisure Tour".

I sort of kept score and developed my skills at getting invited for dinner. Bonus points if you get to spend the night!

Awww.... undesirable woman!! i've got self belief sorry for her! i desire she gets her revenge.... she shoves the cleansing soap in his mouth, shoves the toothbrush up his nostril, squeezes the toothpaste up the different nostril, stuffs his ears with the bread, pours the milk over his head, sprinkles the cereal over for further humiliation, wallops him with the frozen dinner, shoves the can of soup up his butt, then beverages the miller lite in the previous leaving with a huge happy smile on her face!!
