I feel the same as you, but in all honesty, we have 'Christians' that are provoking them with questions and comments that simply shouldn't come from the mouth of a God fearing person. So I can't say that they aren't wanted here, they get tons of responses for idiotic questions, and the real questions tend to be lost in the shuffle. So the best way to prevent rude unwanted answers is to ignore them, do not feed into it. You might be surprised how much biblical knowledge alot of atheist have though, and they may have an answer that noone else has. You can't generalize, it isn't all of them that are being pests, just a chosen few. Someone who is an atheist is not a satanist or any such a thing, they have no religion, they believe in nothing. It doesn't mean that they don't respect you for believing, and it doesn't mean that they do not have legitimate, correct, and heart-felt answers.

It seems easy for me to accept Christians....How come (some) still make fun of my religion (or lack thereof) ?

Unfortunately you will find that in any group! Just be who you are and be proud of that! I have found most Christians on here to be hateful and intolerant...I have met a few like you who are sweet and sincere people and that does make it better I think!

Best wishes!

There must be at least one or two practices or beliefs of Christian denominations other than your own that you find bizarre and impossible to believe. I know many Protestants look at Catholic practices and can't help but scratch their heads and laugh out loud. And many Christians scoff at snake-handlers or those who speak in tongues.

Atheists look at the incredible beliefs of Christians and have a similar reaction. They just can't see how anyone could believe such things. That doesn't mean that they--at least the good ones--don't acknowledge your right to be who you are and follow whatever tradition appeals to you.

2dee9: "because being an atheist is easy, because you don't have to follow any rules..."

How can you believe that? Atheists don't have to follow any rules? Of course they do. They have to stop at intersections just like everyone else. They have to pay their taxes, just like everyone else. They simply choose not to follow rules decided upon by ancient peoples whose ways of life were far removed from our own and dominated by superstition and irrational fear.

Because Atheist don't believe in God so they think that your beliefs are not valid and it is easy for them to make fun of that which they can never understand until they have a personal experience with the living God. Pray for them because when they have that experience it maybe when they are standing before him on judgment day.

The road of the rightous, and the road to heaven is not an easy one. If it were, everyone would be doing it and going there. Only the strong in faith will survive, after they accepted Jesus as their savior and became born again, and obeyed God's laws...

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

The Lost who are atheist will surly die.But those who accept Jesus will have eternal life in heaven. The choice is yours to make.

Praying for you.

even however i do no longer think in ghosts, we've all seen the photos, the video clips, the evp recordings and might have had our very own very own reports which could no longer be defined superb away. lots of them are in simple terms a trick of the digicam, recorder or perhaps our minds. some techniques I genuinely have heard are the ghost in simple terms being an echo of achieveable potential, to a species undiscovered all its very own. as for now, there is not any actual clinical evidence for ghosts, and to no longer be on the close minded area, i do no longer think of there ever would be.

Obvious, isn't it? Everyone can accept atheism because it makes sense. People make fun of your religion because it doesn't. That'd be like a lunatic saying that he considers other to be sane so why don't we extend to him the same courtesy?

Let me try to explain it this way.
Man in God's eyes isa false god. (Genesis 3:5-6).
God told the Jews and Christians to have two or more witnesses.(Deut10-20 for Jews, Matt.18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1 for Christians).
It is easy to go from zero witness (total ignorance) to one witness (one's own opinion). It is work for a person, to go 'up' to the 2 or more witnesses' level, and then it can be 'abused'. Which 'religion' you choose; that is your choice.

Religions divide people into hostile groups. Ridicule is a form of hostility. People of your religion (whatever that might be) do exactly the same thing of other religions. All religions do that.

That is why no religion is worthy of human attention.
