Why do we always argue? We should really stop and 'love our neighbors as we love oursleves.' I've noticed that a lot of Catholics hate Protestants because they are 'heretics,' and Protestants hate Catholics because they are 'Mary Worshipers.' Yet we call ourselves Christians and we basically hate eachother! We need to be more peaceful, who agrees?

Does anyone study Martin Luther, Prtoestants don't notice this...Martin Luther was two-faced. He was a Catholic priest who formed the Lutheran Church. On his deathbed he received his last sacraments by a Catholic priests, he had Confession and apoligized for what he did.

I am Catholic and I do not hate anyone. I don't judge a person based on their beliefs. If a person loves God and serves Him to the best of his/her ability--then wonderful. I know good Catholics and bad Catholics, good Protestants and bad ones. I went to Catholic school as a child and was taught to love our neighbor. We were never taught that "Protestants were heretics", but I know some Catholics that go off the deep end and believe that. I also know Protestants that have false ideas about Catholics.
Also, never have I been taught to worship anyone but God. To worship Mary would be contrary to the 1st Commandment. I am the Lord your God, thou shalt not have false Gods before me. Mary was a very special woman. She was the mother of our Savior. I believe that she was the most blessed of all women to have such an honor bestowed upon her, but in no way shape or form would I ever consider worshipping her. Just because a person has a statue of someone, whether it be Mary, Abraham Lincoln, or a Reggie Miller bobblehead doesn't mean they worship it. I have pictures of my family plastered all over my house, but I don't worship them. I also have Precious Moments figurines and my kids trophies, I don't worship them. If I go visit the statue of Liberty, I am not worshipping it. These things serve as reminders of what is special to us.
Peace, yes. No matter what a person believes.

I am a Catholic and I do not hate Protestants. And I know lots of Protestants and they do not hate Catholics. That is not necessary at all.
But it does not mean that we stop believing we have it right. It just means that we respect the other person as a fellow human being and a fellow Christian. We agree to disagree.
That does not mean that all religions, churches and faiths are equal but it does mean we can live in mutual respect.

Think about it this way; 'We' people in this country presently tend to view things from the 'bottom up'. God looks at things from a 'top down' view. Therefore, the differences between what God says, and what man in this country presently believes.
Many of the 'differences' between Catholics and Protestants are related to that difference; along with man being a false god in God's sight.

I think every religion should be tolerant of either others beliefs. i respect everyones choice of religion but just done force your religion on me or try to tell me my religion is wrong. i am catholic and we live right next door to a Pentecostal church and they have invited us to church and we respect them and their beliefs but don't change what i believe. people always complain that this religion is "man-made" but if you step back and realize all religion is "man-made" to some degree. we do need to be more peaceful just like God may everyone different he made religions different as long as you believe in him and only him you should be fine.

I agree, but I don't think it will ever happen. There are stubborn people on both sides who will cling to "I'm right and you're wrong" no matter what. The best we can do is teach our kids to not hate.

Protestants are not Catholic. They split from the Catholic Church years ago, hence the name "Protest" ants.

If someone took the name of your God, and added to it, slandered it, and made up all sorts of false doctrine that cannot be found in the bible, wouldn't you be a little upset too? You go Marin Luther!

Good doctrine is hard to find. It is people themselves that limit themselves.
