rap is haram so you shouldn't actually listen to those types of music, and I once saw this film called "The Message"

if rap music containing the quran is haram, why is it then so popular? It could have been reprimanded yearsago. Any music that provokes violence, hatred, materialism, sex, idolatry, self love or hedonism and etc is haram.
A movie, try "the message" The prophet(peace be upon him) was not shown directly on the screen, but the co star i think is anthony quinn,Old movie, probably 1977-78
