the key pad should have a point where you can split it open, usually right in the middle of all 4 sides. open it up and change the battery.

This is great that you ask this Do you have a cell phone repair shop or something where you live at? Almost ALWAYS it needs to be cleaned. The batteries last for a long time, take it somewhere and have it cleaned. My mom's remote starter went out and it cost us $279 to get a new one from the dealer We took the old one to Idaho Cellular and Repair, they cleaned it with an airbrush and it worked perfect We had gone camping a few weeks ago and gotten dust inside

There is probably a small philips head screw in the back. Open it up and you will find a small disc type battery. It will say on the battery what size it is. Try Radio Shack or a car stereo place for a replacement.

Remove the ring, where the ring attaches, you will hopefully see an opening between the halves. Start there gently with a thin screwdriver & pry the two halves apart.

the battery is in the KEY FOB...the thing you have on your car keys with the buttons on it. use a small tech screwdriver to split it open and replace the lithium ion battery inside.....
