He's getting stressed out at work and so we thought it would be nice to take a quick, cheap, last minute trip to somewhere cool. Where would you suggest?

OH, BTW, we live in Maine and there's NOTHING to do close by. We would end up flying somewhere.

Vegas is always a nice getaway, even if you're not a gambler. Warm and there's plenty to do and see and doesn't have to be an "every minute planned" type of trip. There are always cheap flights from where I'm at in the Midwest so I don't know what it's like where you're at, but wouldn't be surprised if it's the same. Another option could be Atlantic City, but I've never been there.

Vegas.....Cheap rooms, really cheap if you go Sun-Thurs. Airfare is not too expensive. Stuff to always look at by walking around. You don't have to gamble but free drinks when you do. It's a great few day get-away for a couple.

Check out Guatemala in Central America.

There is a pueblo there called Panajachel, Solola.

Any tourism agency will know about it, it's great for r&r and fun.

this all depends on where you live and what's close. Most folks have some decent national parks within a moderate driving distance.
