This is what my experience would recommend:
You need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week.
Burn fat and build muscle.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training, followed by 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging.
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all. A measuring tape will tell you your progress.
Good luck and stick at it. I have lost over 20 lbs.

Tummy and thighs the biggest things we all worry about. I was a little over wieght and i decided to do something about it and take a chance. I have learned that doing exercises daily for about 30 minutes and day can help you so much and make you lose alot of week per week. With the few pounds you want to lose then i suggest you eat less but more frequently eat lots of fruits and veggies. And exercise daily for a healthy wieght loss thats easy!!

Try this (this method doesn't even change your food)
- slow eating (eat more slowly to prevent overeat)
- walk more than usual (don't need to do cardio, just walking, avoid elevators and use stairs
- eat every 5-6 times a day on smaller portion
- eat breakfast
- avoid eating before sleeping
this method should lose a little pound on your weight without even changing your food (diet)

HERE ARE THE BASICS:
1. you lose weight by consuming fewer Calories than you burn
2. you gain weight by consuming more Calories than you burn.
3. you should be concerned with losing FAT, not weight. There are 3500 Calories/Lbs of fat. To lost one pound of fat/week you have to burn 3500 Calories/week more than you consumed. there are 2500 Calories in a pound of muscle.
4. You should be more concerned with your percent body fat, not your weight.
5. the best, most effective way or burning fat is by combining weight-training and cardio exercise. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be. You will burn more calories all day long, including while you sleep. A health body fat percentage for males is 7-18%, females 18-24% (approximate numbers).
6. you should eat 6-8 small meals each day - this will prevent you from eating 3 large meal which will slow your metabolism while your body works to digest the large quantity of food.
As a general rule of thumb, you should be weight-training 3-4 times per week and performing cardio 3-5 times per week.
Consider hiring a personal trainer (ISSA certified) and a nutritionist. The money spent on these services is worth more than spending money on pills and potions.

The only true healthy way to lose weight, is to exercise and to eat right and by this I do not mean starving to death. Also, you have to set goals for yourself. Instead of trying to lose 10 pounds in a week, try to lose a couple of pounds a week (for example). That way would be healthier.

Simple diet changes. Are you drinking soda? Laying off the soda helps a lot.
