I have to wash it every day! IF I skip one day or go more than 24 hrs I have an inch of oil. This of course dries out the end of hair very badly.

I also have the same problem. I need to wash my hair everyday too. Although, unlike you, I love washing my hair everyday.. takes the grime out of it with all the air pollution and stuff.
I use shampoo for oily hair.. don't know if your country carry the brand Palmolive. They have the aromatherapy series that really dries my hair out. Of course, sometimes I use laundry detergent.. hehe.. At least, it would make my hair as dry as I want it to be. But I use conditioner.. and they were correct in saying apply it only at the ends or part of the hair strands and NEVER EVER at the roots or else you get instant oily and limpy hair! ;)

hope this helps you

My mother is a hairdresser and she has always recommended baking soda for oily hair. About once or twice a week, depending on how oily your hair is, mix baking soda in with your shampoo. Work it, especially into the scalp. Also, when you put conditioner on your hair, only put it on the ends about half way down. Don't put conditioner up near your scalp.

Watch your diet. Food can be a cause of excess sebum (oil). If you exercise during the day, then take a shower.

Other than that, ask the phamarcian to recommend which kind of shampoo to use.

make sure you use a shampoo for oily hair and when you apply your conditioner try not putting it on your roots. same goes for any styling products you might use, stay clear of your roots.

Shave it off! That'll stop it from being oily.
