Now statistically you are right that Mexicans have the custom of having large families THE REASON mainly being due to the fact that the majority of Mexico is still practicing Catholisism. The doctrine of this religion states that Birth Control of any form is a sin. I DO NOT FEEL THAT white people will be a minority compared to other minorities. What I mean by this is that the people of the great "USA" have learned to adapt over the years also...... They are an intelligent, proud people. They will not suffer the racism, poverty, discriminations that other "RACES" or cultures have faced upon arrival to this new and wonderful land. I feel that in the longrun the USA will accept graciously anything that we are handed in life's highway. NOW FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR YOU.......Are the Mexicans becoming a "watered down" version of their former selves..... of course....... so as whites have become "watered down" for years. People see me they call me white only because of my skin color.... I am Irish, German, Cherokee...... watered down huh. Ask anyone White has ceased to exist....... This White "RACE" still functions after years and years and endurance of immigration to this country..... we have not become weak because of it...... we have become a stronger 'race' because of it.......... Mexicans were not the first to 'INVADE' US. Also please include in your thoughts that many of these Mexican Men are so "taken" by what they consider the White American Female that many of them are taking them on as wives.... having children with them. Watering down of the race has been ongoing for many years. Now as they marry these women they also begin to leave or alter some of their own customs.......as does the woman alter and change her own customs so that they can live in a level of respect to each and his own. With marriage comes change even for people of the same skin color. NOW THESE CUSTOMS ARE SWIRLED TOGETHER WHICH IN ESSENCE CHANGES THE OVERALL MEANING OF THESE CUSTOMS AND THEY BECOME TOTALLY NEW CUSTOMS.

Hispanics and Asians intermarry at a high rate, and the rate gets higher the more generations they are removed from immigrants. Only if you count any part Hispanic or Asian as a minority will if ever even be close. Those minorities who assimilate do better than those who keep their language and customs and try to isolate themselves from majority society. Because of the large number of multi-racial kids that are the result hard to predict where demographics will go.

Projections are that it will happen by 2050, or earlier. It may already be the case in states like Texas and California.

I have no issue with what color people are. I have an issue with the VALUES people uphold. If people come here legally, are loyal to the US, learn the language and culture, work hard and pay their taxes, and add (rather than detract) from society, then I welcome them, irrespective of color. I'd rather accept 1,000 hardworking African cabdrivers than 10 Russian mobsters (just one example - I don't mean to stereotype; you know what I mean).

I note that there are a lot of Asian Indian immigrants in my local communities. They have basically "assimilated" in many ways into our English-speaking, capitalist society, and are accepted. Yes, there are always bigots, but they get shouted down.

Immigrants who do not feel "welcome" should ask themselves how their own attitudes affect their reception here. Coming illegally and protesting in our streets, saying that the US stole land from "their" country, is NOT a good start.

No one can accurately predict the future. Its been tried and failed miserably.Anything can happen in the next 44 years or so,one never knows. The world as we know it may not even exist,we may all be under the rule of a foreign nation,we may have all perished in a nuclear war,so any thing compared to that is inconsequential isn't it?I for one am not worried about who will have made the most babies and now had more numbers than another. Its who has the money that rules, remember that.

The numbers of births undocumented are insufficient to matter.

Legal immigration is what affects the demographics the most, and that is pretty much representative of the population of the world as a whole, in which "whites" are a minority anyway.

But what makes you think that American belongs to the "whites"? It was a political choice that, in the 60s and 70s, abolished the quota sysem for immigration that favored northern Europeans. Are you saying that Congress did not act democratically?

Nontheless, while coming to the opposite conclusion that you do, I happen to have the official statistics at hand:

The National Center for Health Statistics offers a crude birth rate varying in 2001 from 13.7 per thousand for whites, to 16.3 for African-Americans, 13.7 for Native American, 16.4 for Asian and Pacific Islanders, 23.0 for Latinos, 17.8 for Puerto Ricans. The Hispanic total was skewed by the rate for ethnic Mexican women of 24.8 (the general rate for Latinos was 23.0); the rate for all races was 14.1.

But you have to look at crude numbers:

USCIS offers a table of country of origin of undocumented immigrants; Mexicans were estimated to constitute 68% of the 7 million total. Applying the FAIR fecundity rate to the USCIS estimate of undocumented aliens yields a total of American citizen births to out-of-status noncitizens of 126,000, or 3.1% of total live births of 4,058,814 in 2000.

In other words: the percentage is too small to matter.

In the world whites are the minority, Asians are the majority.
Soon will be the same in the States.

What's your racial trip? Also, if they turned off the welfare system tomorrow at 10AM, what would all those people do? Sadly, Mexico doesn't seem to know how to build hospitals or schools to take care of their own citizens inside their own country, which is why we're seeing 'anchor baby' etc., and civic initiatives are something they left waayyyy back in the past.
Mexico's got problems. Too bad the only way they know how to solve them is by trying to engineer their way into the United States...sad, sad days...

Whites are still 70% in America ok, We wouldn't even be near minority status till close to 2050. So keep dreaming bud, by then we would have kicked all you Mexicans mongrels to the curb

By 2050 50% of the US population will be of hispanic decent, not 50% Mexicans. Anyway tack on another 50-100 years and the majority of this planet will be speaking Mandarin since the Chinese will pretty much own everything. I wouldn't be worrying too much about hispanics if I were you.

When Helter Skelter comes, the black people and the Mexicans will surely reduce each others numbers significantly.
