I god my parakeet a month and a half ago. He doesnt chirp.... only when he wants something he chirps very loudly. What should i do???

I have two parakeets and they chirp to each other all the time. They chirp alot when they want something too. So try getting a friend for you bird. Thats all he needs!LOL

Is the bird otherwise happy? Why would you care how much he chirps?

He may be less vocal because he is young.

As long as he is healthy and otherwise happy, just let him be his own bird.

even though you might be nice to him sometimes or all the time try to be even nicer or let him/her out sometimes this might work i have a bird this happened to me once

Maybe he is lonely. Get him a companion and he will be much happier.
