try putting the milk on a saucer of plate........a small amount she may be dunking her head to far into the bowl.........also if its milk your giving her she may not like it something like 30 percent of all cats are lactose intolerant...but it seems like to me at 7 mo. old she should be drinking fine......shes almost grown did this just start happening.......maybe she has had an injury or something........or maybe a sore throat cats are very prone to respiratory infections if it doesnt stop soon take her to a vet.

Cats prefer to drink out of glass bowls that are washed daily. I change my cats water 2 or 3 times a day. Fill it up as high as you can so kitty won't have to shove her head into the bowl. I use a small clear glass bowl that is really supposed to be used for small scoops of ice cream. It has a bit of a pedastal on the bottom of it so it is about an inch off of the ground.
I adopted a cat in August and didn't think she was drinking water because she never drank in front of me, so I started mixing in a bit of water into a teaspoon of canned food, mix it up and heat it in the microwave for a few seconds. I also feed kibble, but the wet food gives her a bit of extra water.
I finally figured out that she was drinking from her bowl, her ID tag dips into her water and somehow a big puddle of water forms under her bowl. We were wondering why we always had a puddle of water on the floor. We thought our dishwasher was leaking, the bowl is by the dishwasher.

Could it be the design of the bowl? At 7 months there shouldn/t be a problem. A bottle, from a doll, works well. Use goats milk not cow milk. Water it down a little add a little honey.

pour a tad of tuna juice or sauce from a can onto a saucer. Present it to your kitten. The strong smell should entice her to take a lick... and then some more licks. As she gets used to lapping liquid from a saucer, gradually dilute the tuna juice/sauce with water until such a time that the saucer contains only water. Once she's lapping water, get her a shallow water bowl.

I say put the liquid on a plate. My kitties are pretty spoiled and only drink out of my bathroom sink or a fountian I put next to their food bowls. Its running water and they love it!
