Dear God, I forgive you.

I forgive you for causing that hardship on Abraham and his family just to test his loyalty.

I forgive you for mistaking Lot's family for being moral when Lot offered his daughters up to be raped and his daughters raped Lot.

I forgive you for being goaded by Satan and allowing Job to suffer so much just to placate your fragile ego.

I forgive you for killing children as punishment for teasing.

I forgive you for hating the gays you created.

I forgive you for seeming so omniscient, even though you seem so surprised by some events.

I forgive you for doing the only thing you could do to save us, which was to sacrifice your son to a grisly death. It's not like you had the power to save us nonviolently.

You are wicked and should be brought to account, but you are more powerful than us, so I have nothing to do but to forgive you. Forgiveness is a sign of love, and if I don't love you, then you'll send me to Hell. So, yeah, I forgive you.

Catholicism is the wrong track to be on, think about it all. But that is your choice. But if you want to be part of an evil that is larger than u can imagine, may God bless your soul. Heard of the inquisition? Catholic priests and boys? Hey to each his own, but look into things before you dive into them. Why do you have to forgive God again? Or do u mean ask for forgiveness?

The Magnificat is the perfect prayer for the returning Catholic:

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed;
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.

You cannot forgive God, because He didn't do anything to you. Rom. 8:28 says "all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" So, anything that happens in your life, whether good or bad, is for YOUR benefit. It may not make sense right now, but it will after a while.
