I AM A CHRISTIAN

I'm a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The dye has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of His. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. l am a disciple of Jesus. l must go till He comes, give till l drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problems recognizing me--my banner will be clear!!!

Sure, I'm in the race to win. Have I done "all" that I can for Jesus? Probably not because that would mean that I was perfect like Jesus was. Do I try to do all I can for Jesus? Yes, and that's all that He asks of us, to walk in the light that we have received and to offer our bodies as living sacrifices using the spiritual gifts that we have received in service to the Kingdom here on earth.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

I already won when Jesus rose from the dead on the third day to fulfill the prophecy. So strictly speaking, no, I am not in the race to win. But I keep on keeping on because from what I have already seen of my LORD, I look forward to being with Him eternally.

Actually I don't believe that what I do for Jesus matters nearly as much as what I allow my LORD and Savior to do for and through me.

Yes, I get so excited when I read the Bible and hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and Him crucified and I want to share it with everybody I come in contact with!

We are saved BY Faith ALONE unto good works.

So many people seem to think they are saved by the good works that they do for the LORD.

That is beautiful. And all who accept Christ as Savior win even though it may appear that in this life we have lost and live even though our flesh dies. I think that this that message should be the proclamation that we have in our hearts and on our tongues. "For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiettill her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch." This is how we should live, because when I've done all I can for Jesus that means I'm dead.

Paul said in Philippians 1:21

"For me to live is Christ, to die is gain"

So no I don't think I have done everything I can, but I continually strive to do his will & struggle to be more like Christ daily!

Amen. I'm running the race to win... but there's always room to run a little faster, push a littler harder, and make my strides a little longer.

that was beautiful! May will all be like that.

We can never do enough for Jesus.

All He asked was for us to spread the gospel.

I will die doing so, to the best of my ability.

when all is said and done and it is my turn to answer for my deeds then I will know if what I did was worthy. if yes then Heaven will be opened to me and if I failed it will not. the main thing that I can do is to try my best at all times to do what I feel is right.
