I agree with everyone else about the Tea Tree Oil shampoos. If you don't have dandruff - dandruff shampoos won't help alleviate the itching, so don't waste your money. My head gets itchy in the winter and my stylist recommended the tea tree oil shampoos and within a week it started to clear up. My boyfriend even liked the shampoos so much that he stole mine. If you can't find any at a drug store, you can usually pick up a bottle at a lower end salon for under $10.

If you know of a natural food store or GNC, go in and buy teal tree oil. With a cotton ball or q-tip, apply that to your scalp and give youself a head massage. let it sit for 25 minutes: it will get warm and tingly. Then wash your hair like normal. that for me works better than using head and shoulders. use a pretty smelling shampoo though b/c tea tree kinds smells mediciney. good luck!

Go to a dermatologist. I have flaky scalp, I was given TAR SHAMPOO to alternate with HEAD AND SHOULDERS shampoo.
