Yes, call your Doctor. He/she may want to check you out. Although I felt good after my cesarean, I took it easy and followed doctor's orders. However, 8 days after I delivered, my incision sprung a 1/4" opening. It wasn't anything I had caused and it was actually a good thing that the incision opened because I had an infection and it was able to drain through the opening. Therefore, it could not be stitched back up. I had to clean it and pack it with gauze 3 times a day. It took 5-6 weeks to heal. My point is sometimes you can't prevent complications, so whenever you can - do so. I spoke with many women who had both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. They all said they preferred the cesarean because they said the healing time was easier. I think because we can't see the healing on the outside, we forget about the healing on the inside and can easily over do it. Please be careful and take care.

I've had two c-sections...the first few days I was home from the hospital I over-did it and was doing dishes and lifting and things like that and had a similar problem...the stabbing, burning sensation on the scar on my abdomen and internally. I had the pains for weeks after the surgery. I think if you're in extreme pain you should mention it to your doctor, and remember they don't give you instructions after surgery for nothing! Lol* I imagine they instructed you not to lift anything heavy for six weeks, so you really shouldn't! Lol* Though it might be fairly common, a c-section is still a big surgery! Good luck :)

After I had my daughter c-section I was up and about and I was pushing it from day 1. Many of the nurses at the hospital asked me if I was sure that I had her c-section bc of how much I was doing. And the day I came home I took back over doing the dishes, the laundry, and also ran errands, the only thing that I didn't do until I was give the ok was drive. With that said it all depends on your body and how you react to having a c-section and how much you push yourself daily. If it is still really bothersome in a day or so I'd call the Dr. and get their opinion.

Why is it that women can never just sit and relax. A ceserean section is a major abdominal operation and the healing process takes time. A minimum period of six weeks of taking it very easy is advised by any doctor. I would visit the doctor and have it checked out just to be reassured.
But please take it easy, motherhood is tiresome and being sore and under the weather makes it harder, relax and enjoy being pampered, get him to do the shopping, maybe he will bring you a surprise home too.

Yes it is possible that you've damaged yourself but not likely! If you are having renewed heavy bleeding especially bright red blood you need to call your doctor for an exam. Otherwise take the day off and pamper yourself. Take your tylenol, eat healthfully and rest. It is easy to overdue it especially after a c-section.

Yes, you definitely over did yourself. You should not be walking and carrying heavy bags until your doctor says. & 3 weeks is not enough time to heal from a cesarean!! You might want to contact your doctor soon!
