ask for advice on Y!A instead of going to the doctor. Yeah, maybe they can't afford it but if they're in their 29th week of pregnancy they've been seeing a doctor. There are free clinics. There is Medicaid.

Hold on. Some of us r med students and this is a great wat way to practice our diagnoses. It is our way of giving back to the community at large. BTW, I think my GF is cheating on me and stole some money from my ATM. How many more chances should I give her? I really love her I think?

The symptoms are pretty normal. I had an incident. When I was walking, I saw a small boy taking dendrite and I got kind of strange feelings. Everything was shaking around me. I didn't know what to do. Then I went to my home and washed my face. These things happen when someone is deep in thoughts in his mind and is not ready for an incident. So when something show up You get freaked out. There is also some thing known as Dejavu. Sometimes When I see someting, I feel that I've seen the same image somewhere. And I get freaked out. No worries, dont stress up. Human brain is mysterious. Face the consequences.

Some people have been to numerous doctors and been thoroughly and finely ground thru the medical mill without any good results. That is why almost half of Americans have tried alternative medicine. (The huge expense of allopathic treatment may also be a factor). As a greed driven medical (and legal) industry (note that I am not criticizing medical professions) drives the cost of medical care into the exosphere, the flight to the fringes will only increase.

Fear and shame.

People are often afraid to get really bad news so they think by avoiding the Doctor they can avoid whatever horrible diagnosis they fear.

Many people have a lot of shame about their bodies so they feel more comfortable asking questions in an anonymous forum than face to face to their Doctor.

People like to understand their bodies and have a basis in their mind about what may be happening to them even before going to the doctors office. If I had a problem and it is worrying me ....and my doctor's appointment was 4 days from now...I'd want to talk about it ...don't you think ?

even a second opinion...I do have a medical backround, and answer the questions I can, But if I'm not sure, I just skip it..

Yup. And they will post remarks like "Urgent!!" and stuff. How urgent could something be if you're sitting at the freaking computer playing on Yahoo?
