lol my cat is the same way,she could be sound asleep on the chair and jump right up and run into the bathroom to see what i am doing to her litter box.i litteraly have to remove her from the room to get to it,because other wise she won't move.as soon as it is clean she goes in to mark her territory once again.lol it's cute though.

Fact is, cats have thier own things and they watch over them carefully. She gets upset because you're fooling with her 'stuff'. I don't think she misses her 'little treasures', cats love clean. Clean laundry, clean beds, clean rugs, clean litter....I know a cat that litteraly screams at her owner when he cleans her box!
Who knows what's actually in the mysterious animals mind? *g
I get upset when ppl move or clean up *my stuff*, don't you? *lol* Cats must be the same.

The cat could be:
1) making sure that you notice how productive he has been
2) making sure that you clean the litter box real well
3) eagerly watching for the soonest opportunity to soil his newly cleaned litter box to test if it's up to his standards

:)

He is waiting to get in it and go poopy! Really! Mine does the same thing! I know when it needs clean cuz my cat will kinda "come to me and tell me" by meowing like crazy and he walks back and forth from his litter box. I always stay on top that thing anyways!

Cats are very territorial and they treat everyone just like another cat. It's not exactly upset about you taking away the scent-iest part of its scent, it's just watching to see if you don't scent it yourself! They're pretty intelligent and they use their studies of your behavior to figure out where your head's at throughout the day. And the reason they love it when you clean things is for the opprtunity to make them smell better afterwards. Including you.

It's just making sure you aren't taking away the litter box entirely, or if you are moving it to a new location, it just wants to know where. Hope this helps.

Thats so funny I was just doing that yesterday and wherever Salem was, he made sure he was right there when I moved his box. I dont know why they do it, probley because its important to them and they want to make sure you dont do anything with it, Plus he likes the clean litter, so hes probley waiting for me to be done. LOL

She has control issues and must supervise you. If she didn't watch over you, you'd probably just do it wrong. When was the last time she told you that you were doing a good job?

See?

lol..Thats cute. My cats watch too, they seem to be waiting in line. I will clean the box and as soon as I do, one will get in and use it, leave and then the other will get in and use it. Its like they have been waiting to poo in the clean box. Buts its funny to see them, standing in line just waiting for it to be done.
