Given your previous track record on deliberately asking questions that will make people answer in a negative manner to your questions, I'd say your suffering from some sort of complex.

I'd recommend seeing a counsellor and having a chat about whatever emotional issues seem be troubling you at the moment.

It worked for me and I dont doubt for a moment you might benefit from it.

Anyway to your question, no I havent and if I did I wouldnt, I'm as partial to a pint like the next man in the street but the responsibility of parenthood takes precedence over having a few beers or whatever with mates.

Unless you wish to have a close relationship with your local social services office I do not think that it is a good idea. If a teacher or one of the other parents was to see you and object (there will always be one) then you could find yourself in a spot of bother. If the urge to drink is that bad I think that it is time to seek some help and the fact that you are questioning yourself you already know the answer yourself.

I don't have any children but I often get drunk and pick up someone else's kids. Halfway home I remember they're not mine, then I have to run away from then. Happens all the time.

get a grown up to collect the kids and keep them (for a long time)
There are criminal offences of being in charge of a child when drunk and depending on how you get to the school you may well commit offences then.
Your kids will be so proud of you getting locked up for the night and going to court. it will give them a chance to learn about social services and the court system.
get help if you regularly feel like getting drunk rather than facing up to the responsibility of parenthood and real life.

Christ, mate! When I first read the question, I assumed it was your kids that had been bad and had gotten drunk at school, caught-in-the-act and the school had called you to come get them and punish them--as schools often do. When I read your follow up note, I was simply stunned you would even consider that, let alone publish it. Sounds like you are already drunk (if not on alcohol then on insanity) and if the cops knew this was going on, you'd be in serious risk of having your kids taken out of your custody. Think about it... take some responsibility for a change. Here's to hoping you're only kidding.

somebody asked a few days ago should people have licenses to have children. Your question certainly makes me wonder. Never mind about picking them up drunk, how are you going to care for them once you get home. You gonna pass out and let them do whatever they like. Grow up and start acting like a parent

In my opinion it would depend on what sort of drunk you are, if you are one of those lucky people who seem to act normal when ****-faced then knock yourself out, however, if, like me, you tell everyone what you think of them and generally shout a lot about how pissed you are then it is a definite no-no. Also definately not if your driving. Maybe phone a friend or relative to pick them and get hammered. I have done it but only whilst tipsy as opposed to proper drunk. Hope it turned out OK for you.

Are you out of your mind? Why would you want to put your children's life and other peoples life in danger just because you want to have a drink? You need to go to this meeting called AA and get some help before you hurt or kill someone.
