Why people don't use their signals when making any changes in direction in the road?

I have notice that with the pass of time more and more people are not using their signals when changing lanes, exitng to another road or even when making 90 degree turns, I will like to understand if this is the lack of care or not enough education or simply not enough brain....

There are a lot of bad drivers out there. I have many opinions based purely on observation. But i will keep them to myself so i am not labeled sexist or racist or both. It wouldn't take much reconfiguration at all to make signals automatic.You turn the wheel past point x the signal makes contact and comes on. you straighten the wheel the contact is broken. That would end the clueless cell phone user driving in the fast lane with his left signal on.It would prevent a lot of collisions. And it is one less thing to break the concentration of people who cannot think and breathe at the same time.I think the drivers test should be a lot harder to pass. It should be so hard in fact that a below average driver may never obtain a license. That would save a lot of lives.

Well, there are some drivers, not the majority of them, are
careless and indifferent to use their indicator or signal lights
when changing lanes or turning into different directions.
These drivers are usually the cause of many accidents and
they don't realise how important is signal lights for road safety.
I think it's the attitude of the driver that neglects the usage of
signal lights because I personally have known of a few cases
of highly educated and respected persons who are not using
the signal lights when changing in their direction.

In some areas its a law that you must use your turn signal to indicate a turn or lane change.. But be warned never take it for granted that someone is going to make a turn when their turn signal is on...there has been many wrecks, caused by people pulling out into traffic, thinking that the car that was coming was going to make a right turn...

The police need to enforce it better and better public awareness. It is aginst the law not to use your signals when turning, it is also common courtesy to use them. If an accident occured and the guy in front wasn't signalling because of it. Well guess who gets the ticket. Be nice, get in the habit of using you signal lights, Your life may depend on it.

Perhaps their thinking is that as they know where they're going, they don't need to tell anyone else.
The corollary to this annoyance is the driver who puts his or signal on but then promptly forgets to turn it off leaving everyone else wondering what they'll do next!!

I have noticed that & also when the light changes to green people are just sitting there in cell phones or looking in another direction & day dreaming...DUH ! wake up people & drive like you were taught at 16 !

Man that is one of my pet peeves. It seems like people are getting a lot more rude or they just think of themselves and don't care what anybody else thinks. If I was a cop I would be nailing them and healthy people that take handicapped parking places.

It is very simple, did you not take psychic 101? You are suppose to anticipate what all the other drivers are going to do so your at fault on this one. Now sell your car and ride the bus like a good little immigrant.
