it's really doing my head in - ive tried giving all folder options back to default - think it might of started when i was trying to stop windows media being my default - i can system folders seem to be alright i think and i can get to folder content by using the explorer bit from my computer - also my system restore seems knackered so im gonna have to reinstall if i cant sort it soon

right click, then select open, you need to change your mouse settings in the Control Panel on the Start menu

I'm not sure exactly what you should do, here are a few tips:
1. Run an updated antivirus on the system.
2. My Computer - Tools - Folder options - General tab - select single click to open objects.
3. In the same location restore defaults.
4. In the view tab - Reset All folders & Restore defaults
5. Re-install the OS.

It's the commands... somehow they're changed around for your mouse.
