When I get to the level where you can rate stupid questions I hope this is still up there. What makes you think God is on America's side? What makes you think He isn't? I'd say that the Big Guy has always looked at a person's heart and forgives someone who is genuinely repentant. Since I have had nothing to do with ethnic cleansing of Native Americans I'm sure He will concern Himself with the sins that I have done. Luckily, my god is a forgiving one.

God is not going to judge me for the actions of someone over 100 years ago,

EDIT:
How is it we supress the Native Americans?? They are given scholorships for being Native Americans. The Native American where I live don't even have to carry insurance on their cars - so my insurance skyrockets because of all the uninsured motorists.

Don't give me that stuff... the only way you can be oppressed or suppressed is if YOU allow it.

I am 1/4 Crow indian, so I don't want to hear I'm racist either,

Hey mate i'm not american, but you cant just blame the Yanks for that one!

having god on both sides of a war has gone on for years! take ww2 for instance Catholic priests were bleesing bombs on both sides before they were fired at each other! and lets face it! not all americans agree with Mr Bush ! or were alive when the so called ethnic clensing of the American indians took place!

I would not like to be blamed for something my countries leader did! or something my great grandad did! If I didn't do it i should not be made to feel guilty about it!

Well, since I am of Native American descent, my own people's blood won't be on my hands.

Since I am of European descent as well, I know of what happened by those who might have been my ancestors.

However, since I have never killed nor hated nor was even angry (even with good cause) at any Native American, He's not gonna have anything to say to me about it. The crimes of our forefathers are not visited upon subsequent generations.

However, those who did partake of those crimes are gonna have a lot to answer for.

Dear Vlad,

God is not a respecter of persons so that He is not on the side of Americans as you say. God IS on the side of those who are on His side. He IS on the side of those who live in obedience to Him by humbling themselves, repenting of their sin nature and accepting Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior, no matter where they live in the world.

In Old Testament times people thought that each country and culture had its own god but the book of Ruth shows us that Ruth, a Moabite, turned her back on the god of Moab (Chemosh) and went to Israel with her mother-in-law, Naomi. The one true God that Ruth came to believe in welcomed her and caused her to become the great-grandmother of King David putting her in the Messianic line.

I certainly believe that a whole lot of horrible things have been done down through history (long before Americans even came on the scene and yes, by Americans as well) in the name of God which were brought tears to our heavenly Father's heart.

I am originally from MN. We hardly even knew our ancestry and certainly never spent time talking about it.

We are Works In Progress and at various stages in the process. Some are closer to still being Raw Materials while others are much closer to being Finished Goods. Are you taking what you have observed from any piece of history and using it for good in our time? Turn your concerns over to the awesome uncreated Creator of the universe and ask Him to use them for His glory.

If one is combating for something that God s and the different one is combating to perserve the call of God. i could say that God could area with the reliable. yet God makes use of a lot of human beings and issues in His plan, some are evil some are reliable. i assume basically God can answer that one!
