The desert is too too dry to survive in, and water would be very hard to find. The jungle has water and various kinds of vegetation too feed on. But know that the desert contains little to no wildlife living there, unlike a jungel filled with dangerous animals. But over all, I would rather be stranded in a jungel rather than be burned to death by the sun without any food or water in the middle of a desert.

the jungle would be best to provide shelter and food but then again a human in the jungle is food to all the bugs snakes and beasties I'd personally flip out if I was anywhere near a jungle. The desert would provide nothing but a good roasting to death.

I would think that both would be extremely dangerous. In the desert you would surely die due to lack of food and water. In the jungle food and water would be more plentiful but there are plenty of wild animals around who would have you for dinner. So the choice would have to be the jungle....you have the CHANCE of a longer survival from a food and water sustenance perspective....and I'd have to take my chances with the wild animals and the fact that I may choose the wrong edible plants and die of poisoning. If I died of poisoning I suppose I would become food for the wild animals anyway and that would at least be ecologically sound. In the desert I would simply dry up, die and decompose. There would be no boost for the ecological food chain in that.

You would probably last longer in the jungle rather than the desert. However, depending on how long you were stranded in the desert- it is possible to survive there. Eat scorpians, drink cactus juice, etc. While not pleasant it is possible.

It depends strongly on *which* desert and *which* jungle. For instance, in the Mojave Desert in southern California, there are some rivers, and there is plenty of benign wildlife, though few animals that will attack you. It is easy to find shelter in brush for cold nights, and in the shade of cliffs during the day. The barrell cactuses, which are plentiful, have plenty to drink in them. Similarly, in the Sonoran desert in Arizona, there are tiny streams with fresh tasty water all over the place. In the Saharan desert, in the dunes, you'd be completely out of luck, though.
In the jungle, although there's a plentiful supply of water, and disgusting, although nourishing, food, there are many animals and diseases that would like to kill you. You'd have a hard time finding good shelter, and not being attacked. Your odds are certainly better than living in sand dunes though!

c'mon red if you are stranded in the jungle or the desert, desert favors you most cos you are going to be dry there all the time but if you are in the jungle then you are going to get muddy and wet and then too heavy to move and then you are going to just desappear there but if for a human being then, jungle is your best bet. it has every thing you need.

Depends on the time of year but it is much more likely that you survive longer in the jungle, there is plenty to eat and drink compared to the desert. However there is a high risk of disease, things just rot. If however I was in an oasis and didn't mind waiting for rescue it is likely that I would survive longer in the desert eventually though malnutrition would kick in from lack of vitamins and minerals.

The Jungle. You could eat leaves, shoots, drink water off plants or from streams and kill animals to eat. In the Desert, there's nothing.
