Chikun-gunya is very much prevelent in India today. There seems to be no preventive medicine. Severe pain on the joints all over the body makes you immobile and in some cases people die. It is spread by mosquito bite. Its origin is probably Africa.

There is no specific treatment for Chikungunya. The illness is usually self-limiting and will resolve with time. Symptomatic treatment is recommended after excluding other more dangerous diseases. Vaccine trials were carried out in 2000, but funding for the project was discontinued [4] and there is no vaccine currently available.
A serological test for Chikungunya is available from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Possible role for chloroquine in the treatment of Chikungunya: There is an interesting dialogue, mostly in French, about the possible use of chloroquine in the treatment of the arthralgia associated with Chikungunya.

Consult ur homeopath.
They have preventive as well as curative medicines for chikungunia as well as early dengue.
however, keep taking ur allopathic medicines too if u have contracted any of these diseases. U cant take chances with them.
Chikungunia with allopathic treatment takes 7-21 days to cure. Residual pain, lack of movement, weakness may take 1-4 months to recover. With homeopathy, my known cases cured in about a week with residual effects taking another week.

Prevention would involve large scale control of the mosquito that causes the illness. As far as individuals are concerned care with using mosquito nets and insect repellant is about all you can do.

Hi INDIAN! Chikun-Gunya disease is very dangerous. But it can be cured effectively by HOMEOPATHY. It is most effective measure against CG.
