Some children just need a nudge now and then. Especially when they are at school, and around other kids. He may just feel uncomfortable, shy, or maybe like some kids, he is use to you teaching him. My daughter was that way at the age of 5, and it was a hard time for her. We did find out that she had health problems and it was causing her to be distracted. She had trouble breathing properly and was always tired. Not saying that is what is happening to you, but talk to your child and find out what is? He may just need vitamins to make him feel better, or more sleep. Ask a doctor for help if it keeps up.

ok i was in the same problem...........no im not a parent im the kid!! well i used to fail and not study bcoz i cudnt concentrate and i found out tht i was dyselxic. its a slite disfunction of the brain wher the child grows more creativly thn academically. its not a weakness and IQ problem. my IQ is VERYYYY HIGH.....i jus cnt use it. make him giv a dyslexia test at a near by hospital in the learning disability clinc. if he is thn u cn get him a certificate saying so tht teachers wont b hard on him. after u get the certificate ull no wt other advantages ther r....dont use it as a crutch tho....thts bd.

Have you had him tested for ADHD( attention deficit hyperactive disorder)? Or maybe some other learning disabilities? My son was ADHD( your son's behavoir sounds similar). There's a ADHD diet called the Feingold diet (check Google) it lists all the foods that don't have additives that may affect behavior( though it's been years since I've seen it, my son's 27 now..lol). Good luck it's a frustrating journey, or least it was for us. I hope your quest is easier for you and your son.

You need to motivate him. Or trick him. Example, he really craves chocolates. Tell him you'll give him lots of chocolates if he will study.
But don't force him. Remember, he's only young and still has a young mind.
Be patient with him.
Good Luck!

Looks like YOU were very week in study too. He is just doing what you did and will probably end up the same way.
I guess you would say "How many days in a weak?" Gramer is not mattering much anywhat. Me worry?
I know how it feels. They call me a moron too.

take him to see your pediatrician. tell him all the concerns you have about your son. see if he can find someone to do special testing on your son. we have an appointment in december with a neuropsychologist for our son. they will do a battery of tests to see what if anything is wrong and what can be done.
