In the West my objection to Halloween based on my person believes would be enough. Here I just get a shrug of the shoulders and: "But we are having it and you have to join!"

suggest you join in a very mild way. how about wearing a robe
( prefer one with a hood ) a rope around your waist and sandals or barefoot and go as one of JESUS' followers. this way you can make a religious statement and still participate. If you are not Christian belief system then change this idea so it will fit with a follower of the religious belief system you do. good luck

Do you know a holiday they don't believe in? Maybe Columbus day ? Maybe they can see your point that way. I'm sure their religion would prohibit them from celebrating something.

U dont have to believe in it. Just go for fun. Think of it like a costume party where ppl get together just to socialize.
