save a coffee can and use it you can set it with the lid outside in the winter or it can stay on your cabinet....i painted mine to match kitchen and i have one for coffee grounds and one for rubish small things so i dont have to walk to the gargage can...i use the folgers cans they have handles and you can label your containers and cover with varnish so it wont wear off washing them....

There used to be. My mother had an aluminum container that had a lid and an inside "shelf" with holes. She poured the grease through the "shelf" which caught the bits and pieces while the grease drained down into the container. It sat on the stove. The grease was then used for making gravy and seasoning a variety of foods.
If you want a container for getting rid of the grease then a coffee can is a great idea.

I use a can, with a funnel on top so the grease does not spill over put the lid on, or if no lid just stick it in the fridge and when it is filled up, I toss it out.
If it is a grease I will reuse, in my funnel I put a coffee filter, and will place the grease in a plastic tub w/lid - of course when the
grease is cool.
That about it.

There probably is, we just stick it in an old butter tub, put the lid on and freeze it. Then when winter hits hard we put it out for the birds and animals to feed on.

the environment "people" suggest a coffee can...if you don't have that, then use a veggie can, wrap in plastic bag, then put in the trash. i'm not sure why wrapping it in an additional bag helps...i guess it slows it from leaking into the other trash while it is in transport...
you can probably find something from the EPA web site EPA.gov

Your best choice is to dump it in a non recyclable plastic container and throw it out with your trash.
Remember to seal it well!
