Sorry to say it will take a few months for the craving to completely go away.

I quit 5 years ago and what seemed logical to me was to smoke a cigar once in a while if the cravings got really bad. That way I would not inhale (too strong), but I'd get the whole general smoking experience. That worked well. At first I had a couple a month, now I hardly ever even want a cigar, maybe a few a year (they are nasty). For me, there are no more cravings, it's just mental, mostly. I think the physical addiction is out of your system in a few days actually.

if you can last 18 days you can last forever

The hardcore craving figure about a month. I quit 7 years ago and still get the occasional craving. Believe it or not I actually have dreams where I'm smoking!

The nicotine is out of your body after three full days. So right now your cravings are all psychological, your mind is telling you that you need it, not your body. Each person is different so there is no way of knowing how long it will be before the cravings go away.

Hmmm.... let me see. It's been a little over a month for me, and I only crave when I smell someone else smoking, so I would have to say a couple more weeks.

I quit 11 years ago and I still want one every one in a while. STICK WITH IT THOUGH! When people quit for a long time then start again it is much worse for them...see the addiction has triumphed after that long period and gains much strength. My Dad quit for 1 1/2 years at 35 and started back, then died of emphysema at 69 after 6 years in bed with it.It was NOT pretty. PLEASE STOP! You just have to quit in the end anyway< My Dads exact words.
