You would think so wouldn't you? I begin to think that nobody in the press wants to stick up for our English heritage and customs. What about our human rights not to have Muslim culture and religion rammed down our throats day in and day out. I can't understand why Muslims want to change England, what did they come here for in the first place - was it to change us - or to escape the extremes of their laws in their home countries?

A better question would be 'why would any country need an official religion?'
But since you asked no it's not Islam.

Muslims are only 2% of the population of the UK. Stop being a Islamophobe.

The Church of England under the Archbishop of Canterbury is the closest the UK has to an "official" religion, since that it is the faith the "defender of the faith" is supposed to defend.

Not at the moment, but given time, who knows what they'll get up to in order to take over the whole world, not just the UK?
