openSUSE (LIVE or just DVD?)?

Should I donwload the DVD or the Live DVD?

The simple solution is to download the live CD, firstly to make sure you like it and secondly is you have a download allowance on your ISP it can eat into it badly.

You should be able to do an install from the Live CD but this can take a long time as well. The other good thing about a Live CD, if everything goes belly up you still have a workable OS.

PS if you are thinking of installing a dual OS I would get your self a 2nd hard drive so your Windows is secure and you don't have to repartition.
