The evening, I love nothing better than going out in the evening, have a first date on a Weds eve smack bang in middle of the week then of all is well see her Saturday evening to allow enough time in between!

of course in the evening it is better. because it is more romantic. and try at the end of the week also if she's working. a woman if she likes her date wanna have time to prepare herself, dress makeup, daydream etc. So on Saturday evening would be just prefect!

Its not so much when you ask but how you ask. Dont say, do you fancy going out sometime? cos its too vague a question. Be more direct something like, 'Do you fancy coming to dinner Friday night, I know a great Japanese' .
Usually helps if youve talked about Japanese food prior.

For a first date, a week night is always good cause you use the I have to work in morning excuse to leave early.

evenings are great because its a time to make them feel special after a long day at work; or even a friday after a whole week. lunches are quite good as well

depends on her schedule really - if she works might be better to arrange an early meeting so she can get home at a reasonalbe hour - or leave it til the weekend. Just ask her! xx
