aunt_beeaa - i'm not the daughter. nor the mother. i'm not a lesbian. i'm not a transsexual. i don't need counseling. i'm just doing a hypothetical question that was inspired by the many "what would you do if your son/daughter is homosexual?"

Make sure she has thought her decision through thoroughly, otherwise stand by her and support her.

I would empayhize with her but I would try to find out what the underlying problem is, like depression, trauma, lack of self-esteem. There has got to be something driving her to this end other than I just want to be a TS. You may need counseling. Family life plays a part in her thoughts, her frineds play a part, school teachers, and of course society and all its immoral information driving kids today, not to mention the internet. Good Luck

Hypothetically speaking you must be the daughter writing your question in the 3rd person. You're probably not a transexual wanting to be a man but maybe you are tansgendered and are a lesbian (DYKE---female with male tendancies)

If you are indeed a lesbian----then you should embrace it. Don't be surgically adding things to yourself to become a TRANSEXUAL!!

I would say be happy with you and love you! Your parents will love you too...no matter what!

If it's not surgically then I would simply be sad but I would still treat her like my daughter. However if she want to become a man or half way then I will abandon her. It would be too upseting and stressful on whole family plus we would have to watch and deal with her drama and everythings. Also we won't be able to recognize her or accept her. It would be like as a stranger step in your house and expect you to treat them like a guest. It's really creepy in my opinion.

And before whole gay/lesbian community attack me, if my child simply come out of closet and admit they're gay/lesbian. I would be somewhat sad but I would still accept them as my own.

I would love my children no matter what type of life they decide to pursue as long as they are not hurting others or committing crimes.

She/he would still be your kid.Any real parent would be concerned about the happiness of their kid and the choices they have made.
