I had the same problem. I got my hair cut. I then used L'oreals elvive anti-breakage shampoo and conditioner . Also L'oreals Intensive conditioner once or twice a week. I also used a anti-frizz serum to give it shine. It takes time but my hair is back to normal and is growing again. I also took a vitamin for Hair&nails.

Apart from making sure that you have a healthy diet with lots of fluids ensure that you are using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Use olive or coconut oil once a week. Though it might be extremely unpleasant the best cure I have found is onion juice. Blend an onion and strain the juice with a muslin cloth. Apply on the scalp and leave it for at least an hour. Shampoo well followed with a conditioner. You will definitely notice hair growth in a few weeks as well as shiny hair after the first application. Topical application has been known for several years and now medical studies are being conducted to understand its effects in case of Alopecia.

now now what have you done to your hair. sounds to me you overused a product. what you can now do is be more natural and try as much natural products as possible. which means wash your hair only twice (mind you) a week, use a mild shampoo once a week and apply besan (gram flour)+curds+coffee) leave for 15 mins. and wash off for the second wash of the week. last rinse with tea water. apply oil only once a week as your hair needs time to breathe. Dont use colors as i said, try henna instead. should work as it does for me.
