-chikungunya homoeo medicine, "Eupatorium Perfoliatum".
-Detection of antigens or antibody to the agent in the blood (serology)
ELISA is available
An IgM capture ELISA is necessary to distinguish the disease from dengue fever
-Chikungunya - HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT
Homeopathy offers many medicines which may help in Chikungunya. These include medicines like Eupatorium-perf, Pyroginum, Rhus-tox, Cedron, Influenzinum, China, Arnica, Belladona, Bryonia etc. Many homeopaths consider Eupatorium perf. as a preventive medicine for Chikungunya. The most commonly suggested potency as prophylaxis is 200C of Eupatorium perf. Eupatorium Perfoliatum Q (tincture, 3 to 5 drop dose)will remove the debilitating joint pains and cut short the intensity and duration of the disease. Other potencies may be used according to the intensity of the case.
-Chikungunya - CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT
No vaccine or specific antiviral treatment for chikungunya fever is available. Treatment is symptomatic--rest, fluids, and ibuprofen, naproxen, acetaminophen, or paracetamol may relieve symptoms of fever and aching. Aspirin should be avoided
Infected persons should be protected from further mosquito exposure (staying indoors and/or under a mosquito net during the first few days of illness) so that they can't contribute to the transmission cycle.

Do you mean "Chikungunya"?
Chikungnya
Chikungunya virus occurs in the East, Central and South Africa and in India and south-east Asia. It is the cause of an acute dengue-like pyrexia of sudden onset, associated with intense joint and muscle pains and a rash. In African epidemics case fatality was minimal but the virus has since been found in Thailand associated with a severe haemorrhagic fever, in which the dengue viruses also were involved and also in India. The name of the virus derives from an African language word meaning 'the thing causing bending up', from the contorted position of patients induced by joint pains.
How is chikungunya virus infection treated?
No vaccine or specific antiviral treatment for chikungunya fever is available. Treatment is symptomatic--rest, fluids, and ibuprofen, naproxen, acetaminophen, or paracetamol may relieve symptoms of fever and aching. Aspirin should be avoided
Infected persons should be protected from further mosquito exposure (staying indoors and/or under a mosquito net during the first few days of illness) so that they can't contribute to the transmission cycle.
Prevention
Take active part in destroying mosquitoes. If you pour kerosene oil in sewages, mosquito larvae will be killed. You can purchase mosquito hunter (an electrical device) you can electrocute mosquitoes. You should use mosquito-net to avoid its bite. Work for the mass awareness of chikungunya, dengue fever and Dengue hemorrhagic fever among the public.
Please see the webpage for more details on Chikungunya.

While the government takes necessary steps like fogging to cut the mosquito menace and providing medicines at the government hospitals for the affected, we must from our side ensure that our surroundings are clean and water is not allowed to stagnate. Since the mosquitoes causing the chicungunia breed on fresh water, it is all the more imperative that our bath rooms are clean and dry; even drinking water vessels must be kept closed. It is also suggested that the windows and doors are provided with a mesh to prevent entry of mosquitoes into our houses. Preferably between 5.30 p.m. and 7 pm doors and windows to remain closed - this is the time the mosquitoes easily find their way into our homes. We will also educate neighbours on these lines.

Cause: chicunkunia a viral fever spread thru mossquitoes called Edis Angel which also spread Dengue fever. These varieities come in day time.
Solution : In day time 1.Cover the full body with cloth . 2. Keep your environments clean. 3. Ask your sanitary inspector to spary pesticides in and around your house. 4. keep water in closed contents.
Permanent solution : Create awareness all over Tamilnadu to do the following which was told by one of our famous scientist.
keep water in a plate in the evening. Allow it thruogh out night and pour the water on the floor by next day morning. By this we can kill lakhs and lakhs of mosquitoes.
